After months of searching for our new home, we finally found it! As soon as we saw her, we fell in love - it just felt 'right'.
The home needs a fair bit of work which we're happy to do over the next couple of years.
This blog is a catalogue of ideas and inspiration in the transformation of our dream home.
So. To start with, we'll be removing carpets and sanding then white washing the floors, then painting the walls and window frames an eggshell white. Also - fixing the roof, garden, wiring etc...don't think she's had much in the way of DIY although the old owners did put in a huge garage. Very handy.
In the next year, we'll be removing a wall or two and moving the kitchen into the space where the laundry is currently, thereby opening up the kitchen/dining space so that it looks onto the garden. Would like to have a sliding window or something like it so that you can pass food out onto the deck/garden from the kitchen etc. More indoor/outdoors.
In a few years, we plan to add an extension on top of the back half of the home.
