One Saturday, we went to visit the house again, a month before we move in...the vendors had us over for afternoon tea - Jennifer baked us a mandarin cake - and we brought a builder inspector with us.
The grand lady as the vendors call her, is in average shape for a home of her age - nearly 100 years old!! - but we can't get in under the front subfloor. Will wait until we renovate I think so as not to chop into the house twice.
Still looking at furniture, love the old french country style pieces from Purdys furniture but can't afford it...another store has 24 months interest free at the moment so perhaps our dining table will come from there!!
So many ideas, so much to do...so little resource! It's hard not to get impatient.
Can't wait to move in!!
