So much lighter and brighter with the skirtings filled and painted...also the kitchen and the fireplaces. Eventually we will save up to buy mantle pieces and proper fireboxes for the fireplaces. For now, we've painted over them so the kids don't crawl in and cut themselves on the jagged brick and eat the charcoal burnt bricks too.
Replaced the old lights too - they were a fire hazard and not really our style - with these gorgeous pendant lights
